Getting started

Open the box, create a box, add a sheet, and confirm the details. A single sheet takes about ten seconds.

1. Open BoxIt

The home screen is the box itself. The current box, the number of sheets added today, and the stacked sheets are all visible at a glance.

2. Create a box

Tap New Box, give it a name — Receipts, Manuals, Contracts, IDs, your child’s drawings — and confirm. You can rename or delete a box later.

3. Add a sheet

Tap Add a Sheet and choose:

If edge detection cannot find a reliable edge, BoxIt keeps the original photo and tells you, instead of cropping the content away.

4. Confirm the details

Check or edit the name, date, note, and box. Multiple pages are kept in one sheet and can be swiped left and right. Leave the name empty to use the date as the default.

5. Find it later

Tap a sheet on the home screen to view, edit, move, or delete it. Use search for a name or note, or filter by date or box.

What BoxIt does not do

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to name every sheet?

No. Leave the name empty and BoxIt uses the date, for example "Sheet from Nov 8".

Can I move a sheet to another box?

Yes. Open the sheet, choose Edit, and change its box.

Can I add photos from my library?

Yes. When adding a sheet, choose Photo Library instead of Camera.
